Cosy & convenient Consett flat

Very close to the bus station and to the shops

Got very turned around trying to navigate Consett even though I'd checked maps before coming.

The flat itself is great. It is very clean and well laid out. It's a little odd to have two single rooms rather than a double-room but not at all a bad thing. I'd happily stay comfortably in a flat like that for a month or more. It's a decent location to stay to go off and see other things. Parking was great for us, as we didn't spend the day-time in the flat. Also plenty of local supermarkets, however please read What didn't you like? section.

If you are coming here to use this place as a base, then its all good but Consett itself is pretty tired. It definitely won't blow you away with its beauty or things to do. However, nearby Durham, and plenty of other places, are very beautiful!

I loved the size of the flat, the location, the general appearance and facilities, and mostly the friendliness and attention from the ow ers.

The mattress was a bit too springy which caused me a little discomfort, but I know I have very sensitive muscles and I'm an awful sleeper.

Access to the full kitchen, washing machine, nice bathroom, sitting room and dining table made the accommodation comfortable and good value. Check in was smooth, hostess responsive to messages. Parking nearby is convenient in Albert St car park and nearby Edith St. Clean, adequately heated, good light, nice linen, convenient power points and plenty of pillows and cushions. Several pubs close by.

It's a shame both bedrooms only have space for one single bed, however we both slept well all the same.
