Could be cleaned better, floors was still abit dirty but luckily beds and bathrooms were spotless

Well appointed self catering bungalow with good quality kitchen equipment/beds/linen, etc. Groundsman (Mathews) helpful & friendly and dog Benson got on fine with our pup.

"Private beach" only accessible in a 4X4 vehicle or very long walk on sandy road (+/-12 kms return trip). Beach is absolutely spectacular but definitely not easy to get to, which should be made clearer when booking

Casa d'Italo stands out as a gem for travelers seeking a blend of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. The space is generously sized, offering ample room for relaxation and storage, making it an ideal choice for both short stays and extended vacations.

While the on-site location is beautiful, it must be noted that the journey on the sandy dirt road after turning off the Gansbaai road is a distance. Wouldn't recommend venturing to Casa d'Italo in your grans Hyundai i10 unless you have a Land Rover in your convoy.

If the purpose is to be in a quiet spot with no one around then it’s perfect. The stars are bright. It’s great for a few couples. It also has everything one needs.

It’s still in the process of a few alterations but what has been done is lovely.

The location wasn't great as one had to travel along a 6 km sand road to get to the accommodation. Also, accommodation was very basic (eg. no television).

I didn't like travelling the 6 km sand road every day to get in and out of the accommodation. The accommodation was very basic, eg. no television. The lighting outside was poor, which meant we ended up having to braai during the day instead of at night.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Beautiful place for nature lovers. Mathews, the grounds man and Benson, the Ridgeback are both very friendly. We enjoyed the braai, starry nights, and some old school board games.

Unfortunately, the noisy neighbours in the main house spoiled the tranquility and kept us awake until the early morning hours. I would also like to recommend offering a fan for the bedrooms as you cannot open windows at night due to all kinds of bugs that came inside.
