Modern 2 Bedroom Apartment with parking - Ashford

Absolutely nothing. From the moment I got there and the lock key box was not working. I messaged the host who responded by saying just to re-look at the instructions I’ve been sent which I of course had been doing, after around 20 minutes of re putting the code in I managed to open it. From there… absolute hell.

Awful, unhygienic, lack of basic cleanliness and standards of safety. Smelt musty and dirty. Stains on and dirty laundry stored in the wardrobe. No soap(hand or washing up). No toilet roll. Food crumbs and ‘slop’ in and on fridge and cooking facilities. Dirty laundry basket in downstairs bathroom which was unusable due to host using as storage for suitcase with peanut oil bottles and clothes hanging out. The balcony door was open when we arrived(unlocked). Which we thought not much of until we tried locking it, it wouldn’t lock. The latch that prongs out of the door itself to lock into the door frame to lock was stuck and wouldn’t prong out so the door could not be locked. The host was unavailable and when finally got hold of host was rude and dismissive. I find this EXTREMELY suspicious, as a young adult staying somewhere I am unfamiliar with this was extremely scary. I had to involve booking . Com in the end who was somewhat helpful but agreed this was unacceptable. Had to book a hotel leaving me extremely out of pocket and refused to refund the amount although no facilities were used and left almost immediately after realising the accommodation was unsafe and filthy. This would have been the end of it if the host had admitted their faults and just refunded my stay. The accommodation was evidently (pics and videos) was not what was advertised. I can only post 4 pictures but have many more. I have taken this further to the ombudsman and reported safety concerns to the police. So I am hoping I will receive a full refund for this awful accommodation to put toward the accommodation I had to book last minute. Please, Do NOT stay here.

Not enough cutlery for 4 people. oven have a dry residue its not clean properly.
