The house was served the purpose we required from it for the time we were staying there. The kitchen and bedrooms was very nice and appears to have been built to a good standard and the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. It's been decorated to a fairly high standard and is a very pleasant property for the most part. As long as the reported issues are resolved, it will score very well with bookers in the future.

From talking to a neighbour, I discovered that it was quite recently renovated. And on the surface to a good standard. The renovation the neighbour told me about was apparently a very quick renovation. NB. All of the below was reported to the host's agent whilst we were staying, and an offer to send someone to repair was made, which I declined because we were only there for a few days and were able to make do. Hopefully, since our checking out, the below issues have been rectified, or a plan has been made to rectify them asap. Please be aware that this is only one review and the property does have great potential. None of the toilet seats in any of the bathrooms had been installed properly, and although they looked good. They were not actually attached and therefore had a habit of sliding all over the place whilst you were sitting on them. Very disconcerting. All the toilet Cisterns in the house appear to have been plumbed to the main hot water feed rather than the cold water feed. Resulting in a cloud of steam escaping the bowl upon flushing. If we hadn't noticed this early on, it could potentially have led to some quite serious scalds. (Eg cleaning toilets etc) On arrival, we discovered that the sofa in the living area was broken and the seat virtually not attached to the back, so you fell through as soon as you sat down. As I said before. The host's agent did offer to send someone to look at the issues, so hopefully, they have now been rectified.

We as a family of 7 booked to stay here for 3 nights over Christmas. Our first enquiry took 3 days for a response In that time the price had increased by nearly £100 and responses continued to take some time to get back to us! Once we paid the full amount for the booking we were then bombarded with contradicting information and a rental agreement came through for us to sign which said we couldn’t stay at the property unless we signed it and agreed to its contents and also I had to provide photo ID information . This was the first time anyone on booking.com had asked for all this info and believe me we have used booking.com on many occasions. Why did they need our photo ID??which happened to be my passport containing all the information would not accept just the photo Why didn’t they send the rental agreement before the payment so you then have the choice to go ahead or cancel!! There was no room to challenge this as Payment had already been paid and was non refundable!! The rental agreement contradicts the information advertised on booking.com which was very concerning! There is no parking at the property but one good thing is that there are quite a few pay and display car parks nearby The one parking space at the back of the property is available but we were not told where the key was until we had driven to the parking spot to discover there is a locked chain across the area. We had to call the office only to be spoken to like children and told don’t lose the key otherwise you will have to cut another and pay for it!! We found used sexual material in one of the bedroom drawers which our 12 year old family member discovered and when we sent a picture to them we got no response…. Disgusting!!!! Especially as they go on and on about vacating on time as the cleaner will meet you at the property! That didn’t happen and the kitchen was not that clean. Toilet seats were very loose and did not fit on any of the toilets! This being said the property is newly decorated.
