Luxury on the lake

The location

I didn’t like that the listing doesn’t state that this is the basement level of the owners full-time residence. I also didn’t like that it wasn’t stated that their would be a large 4th of July party upstairs. I understand having company to celebrate, I just would have liked had the opportunity to decide if I wanted to deal with that, especially expecting privacy. A couple of their guests stayed on the downstairs patio area, which was right outside of the living room, which was full glass with no shades. That made me very uncomfortable, as if I wasn’t supposed to be there and that I was intruding. Bev and Dan (Bev especially) are as great as they come so I hate even saying this, but it’s the truth and I think the full situation should be posted to the listing so people can decide if that’s the type of accommodations their okay with. The internet was out on the 4th so unable to use the tv to try and separate from the party noise upstairs. Again, nothing but praise for the owners; I just had no idea that I would be staying in someone’s basement. Also the 2nd bed is a twin sized bed, not a queen so best suited for those 5ft or under. Also, there is one bathroom, not 2, as the listing states. Overall, I felt like I was intruding on their space and that doesn’t feel good at all.

We loved the home. It was on a gorgeous property on the lake. The owners were very responsive to all our questions. I can't say enough good things about this home.

I wish the kitchen sink had been cleaner (the sink and the dish drying towel on the counter. Otherwise everything was great.
