CASA MIA INN Bed and breakfast

We were picked up at the ferry for free at (for)Christmas (11:30 pm). She was also very friendly and helpful, she organized scooters for us (300-450 pesos/day) and whale shark watching for free. She also offered to chauffeur us with her car for some gas money. The room was clean, the air conditioning was quiet and cool and the shower was really good. We were given new towels and toilet paper on request, no problem. In the morning we got a complimentary breakfast. In the evening we had gin and karaoke with Mia and her friends, it was like we were part of a big family. And I was speechless when they threw a party for us with the neighbors, with local food and they didn't want anything for it. I have experienced many host families, but I have never felt this good. I can definitely recommend this host family and I will be back. If you are looking for a really good host family with a family atmosphere, you can book here without hesitation.

- no room service, had the same sheets and towels for 4 nights, toilet bin will not be emptied - there was no toilet paper, when we told the owner she did not organize new one but we ourselves had to buy new toilet paper - no shelf space in the bathroom, had to put our toilet bags on the floor - there is no restaurant as is said in the description of the property - just be prepared: the place is very far off from any restaurants etc, and there is no public transport, so you really need a scooter and drive 20-30 minutes if you want to eat something - the owner picked us up at the ferry port and dropped us off again there, which seemed like a nice gesture in the first place but then she charged us for it in the end (300 pesos), which came as a surprise to us. we would have appreciated open communication
