Lavender Circus Hostel, Doubles & Ensuites

I was impressed by both the art decorations and the professionality of a very friendly and easygoing receptionist. After just one minute inside, it became super clear to me that they really care for clients to feel welcome and enjoy the place. In contrast to my stays at similar historical buildings with high ceilings, converted to hostels or "sort of hotels" also as it is challenging for locals to use them as flats, this was the first hostel where I felt that the owners had an intuitiive vision for a beauty and guests feeling good, and not a greed for profits. Given how very expensive was all the art work, wood work, all the lamps (there were almost 10 in the room for 1-2 people I stayed at) etc., I find it reasonable that the price for private rooms is similar to ** star hotels, not to mention the location just 1 minute walk to Kalvin ter (the best public transport hub in Budapest city centre). I was happy to benefit from a last moment discount (dynamic pricing) for low season. While this hostel is above my budget in a high or normal season, I will surely check the prices in low season as I cannot wait to return to this hostel again.

I was super happy with everything, but I believe it make sense to repeat what is in the description and reviews: 1. many stairs to get to the hostes (as 3 high ceiling floors equal about 5 floors walk upstairs in usual buildings, which was fine for me as a backpacker, but might be challenging with a suitcase). 2. many rooms have beds on a top of smartly improvised bathrooms, with some stairs being a bit like a ladder (the case in the room I stayed) 3. some private rooms have windows facing access gallery, so you lose your privacy when windows are not covered by cuirtains (there are both external and internal, but people sensitive to privay should double-check with the hostel management prior to their stays I guess, as the hostel is really big and there are other rooms with windows facing the busy street which are not OK for those sensitive to noises, etc.) 4. the "exhaustive" stairway was lit just lightly, so for people who are not fit both when it comes to healthy legs and healthy psychics :) this might create an initial wrong impression that might challenge the feeling good once inside the very beautiful concerted flats on the third floor which are simply a gem.

Onze ervaring is positief over deze prachtig bedachte hostel die veel vreugde met zich mee brengt althans voor ons. Voor de kunstenaars onder elkaar is dit een wow effect.Iedere keer was het iets nieuws ontdekken het bleef ons verassen. De trappen waren iedere keer een uitdaging wel op een leuke manier je mag ook iets doen om met een tevreden gevoel weg te gaan of terug te komen. Het is een speciale plek voor ons omdat het goed voelt de energie. Op deze mooie plek is het aanwezigheid van datgene wat je nodig hebt zoals het ook hoort te hebben als basis en meer dan dat deze eigenaren hebben precies voor het oog gehad de behoefte van de reiziger en dan de vrije beleving is voor ieder op zich om het te ervaren zoals ieder het wil. Een groot applaus een groot dank je wel.

Geen opmerking wij zijn tevreden.

L'emplacement était idéal ,en plein centre ville, juste en face du musée national.l'immeuble était ancien avec une décoration originale. L'accueil est très sympa.

L'hôtel est au 3 ème étage sans ascenseur, l'immeuble a besoin d'être un peu rafraîchi . Il serait appréciable d'avoirdes produits de toilette style shampooing ou gel douche. Le lit est particulièrement haut, hôtel plutôt pour des personnes en bonne forme physique !

Un hostel con mucho encanto,muy bien situado al lado del centro en una avenida,habitacion bien insonorizada del exterior. Las camas cómodas y la cocina práctica sobretodo la nevera.muy bien también la opción de dejar el equipaje desde las 9am,de hecho nos dieron la opción de acceder a la habitación antes de lo previsto.

Nada,la verdad es que ha sido una estancia muy agradable y no cambiaría nada
