The Barn at White Rose Cottage

Very clean and tidy and quiet, with great facilities.

The surroundings are not quite as “country” as depicted, you are facing a large shed of machinery/ metal/car storage, and adjacent to that is more car storage. It wasn’t a problem as such but “surrounded by fields” felt like a bit of a stretch. Great for a base to visit other places, but not as a country retreat as such.

Not really sure how to describe The Barn apart from amazing! We booked The Barn quite a few months ago knowing a friend and I would be attending an event at Silverstone, it ticked all of the boxes for us, close to the venue, enough space for us to have a bed each, and most importantly of all very good value for money. Mat and Jenny were great with their communication, anything we asked (2nd parking space, local restaurant recommendations, spare bedding for sofa bed etc.) was answered very quickly and promptly in a very friendly manner. On arrival check-in was easy, keys were in the lock box and code was as per messages from Mat and Jenny. As soon as we walked in we knew we'd made the right decision, The Barn is finished to a very good standard and felt welcoming. Everything was easy to find in the well stocked kitchen, the biscuits and sweets being a nice little extra we didn't expect. The kitchen is very well laid out with everything on hand that you'd need for either a short stay like us, or a longer stay (such as dishwasher and washing machine). Bathroom was large and spacious with both a large shower cubicle and bath. Beds were both comfy, even the sofa bed. Thanks again Mat and Jenny for a great stay, we will definitely consider staying at The Barn again in the future.

Only tiny issue was we couldn't get the TV channels to load, but no major issue as the TV had access to apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime which we made use of. Other than that, can't fault The Barn at all.

Clean, well equipped in an excellent location. You could see that care and consideration for guests was paramount with the provision of dishwasher tablets, condiments and cooking oil and a welcome pack with bread, milk and butter. Toiletries including hand wash, body wash and shampoo were also provided along with fresh towels. Great communication from the hosts prior we will visit again!

Only thing we would have found useful was a small freezer/drawer but not essential and didn’t affect our stay

Stunning cottage. Loved all the thoughtful little extras. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights with our dog. We arrived late our first night after road delays and the bread, milk and butter etc were much appreciated for the next morning. The barn has everything you need and more, a lovely secluded, quiet location and public footpaths straight from the door. Whilst also being very close to Silverstone and local towns. The fenced in small garden was great for our dog and the dog bowls are a great touch. There is a full kitchen and utilities and a great bath and separate shower. Would definitely recommend staying!
