This property does not have air conditioning. Yes, we are pet friendly! There is an additional pet fee if you are bringing a pet (2 pets max) - $70 for one, $140 for two. Note: under no circumstances can you leave your pet(s) unattended at the property - there are doggy day care/ dog boarding options or take your pet with you! Violations of this may be met with a $100 fine or we may ask you to check-out early. If it snows more than several inches, look for snow removal signs to make sure you don't violate any temporary parking rules. The Governor's Mansion was once the home of former Governor Jesse McDonald and is centrally located in Leadville's National Historic Landmark District. Part of this house was built in 1881, with the mansion portion completed in 1893. Former Governor, Jesse McDonald, who sought and found his fortune in Leadville, built this big house to entertain guests as they traveled through town. Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.
