Villa do Sol Carcavelos Beach House

No much to say about the property itself. It was an old house made into a hostel. If u need to stay in carcavelos the location is not bad. But if u are looking for a place close to the beach it is not the place. It is still like 25min walk from the beach. 10min walk from the train station. Very residencial area.

The kitchen is very old. You don’t feel like cooking anything there. My biggest complain is about the private room called King suite. It is actually a garage converted into a room. You have 2 doors but no window. One door gives access direct to the outside of the hostel what was good but if u want some air you will need to have one of the doors open. The room is beside the kitchen so if someone turns on the tap in the kitchen you can hear the water running through the pipes on the wall. There is a private bathroom which it looks like more a temporary setup. It is very very small. If u are a big person u wont fit in the shower but the worse part is there is a pump behind the toilet that causes a horrible smell coming from the sewage , making hard to sleep coz the toilet is just beside the bed. I nearly left the hostel before the end of my stay coz of these smell 😣. The other bathrooms in the building were clean and smelling nice but the one inside the room was really not ok. It would better if there was no toilet there at all. When u are talking a shower again if someone in the kitchen opens the tap the water in the shower goes cold. There is a rug on the room that was dirty and full of stains. You don’t feel like walking around the room bare feet. Anyway to sump up if u decide for this hostel make sure not booking the “KiNG SUITE “

Sehr hellhörig. Autolärm die ganze Nacht lang von einer vielbefahrenen Schnellstrasse direkt neben der Unterkunft.

Sempre volto a este sítio, é dos hosteis mais limpos e bonitos da linha de Cascais.
