Ocean Walk Resort - Spectacular Ocean Front View

My room was dirty and smelled of smoked drugs.

Location and ease of check in.

The mattress was terrible, the floors were dirty.

The rooms were amazing! The kitchen was fully equipped.

The elevators took quite sometime come.

All the pool options, right on the ocean, lifeguards,staff is amazing. Located in great location. Attached to a shopping center with restaurants etc.

For a family of six in a one bedroom one bath, was TIGHT.

The view is SPECTACULAR. The room has everything a family needs to make home made meals while on vacation including dishes, pots and pans,a toaster and even a blender. It also has a washer and dryer It is decorated super CUTE and VERY CLEAN. The pictures don't do it justice. Bob and Vicki are GOOD at COMMUNICATING. There are daily ACTIVITIES for the FAMILY. The resort shares amenities with Wyndham (they are connected) and at Wyndham they have an indoor arcade that has a tiny mini golf (putt-putt) area. There is a Starbucks on site and a tiki bar by the outdoor pools and they have indoor pools when there is inclement weather. The beach is clean , has a life guard and the views are GORGEOUS!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT!!!

I wish there was a little more understanding when it comes to check out and housekeeping. Yet, I do understand this is a business and in order for the next people to come in we needed to get out. The night before our departure we ended up with a flat tire and didn't get back to the resort until almost 4 a.m. and check out is 10 a.m. we set alarms but accidentally slept in. I half asleep come out of the bathroom at 9:50 to a man walking in the room saying he's housekeeping. I was already stressed knowing we woke up late and had to rush to leave and I thought I had to really clean the room good so I asked the housekeeper to allow me a little more time and he said it was" OK he had 2 other rooms to clean". I called Bob to verify this man was who he said he was and to see if I could get an extra hour (I was shaded out he just walked in the room) and Bob didn't answer. Bob called me back around 10:45 and I'm still trying to clean and asked for another 20 minutes or so and he told me "No I just needed to leave or I was going to get charged" I completely understood his frustration but really wish there was a little more understanding however they did not charge me which I feel is VERY GRACIOUS on there part. So I wanted to THANK them for that. I hope in the future if we wish to visit Daytona that Bob and Vicky would allow us the pleasure of booking with them again because besides on departure it was a wonderful experience. THANK YOU BOB AND VICKI One other down fall the elevators get very busy at times and you could be waiting for a while depending on time of day and if outdoor pools get temporarily closed due to lightning which occurred a few times while we were there but they reopen a soon as the storm passes (normally it lasted 30 minutes to an hour).
