Lovely accommodation surrounded by gorgeous views. The place is tasteful but feels like a home away from home. The hosts are wonderful people. So warm and welcoming, and accommodating.

Leaving and having to say goodbye

The couple who run the bed and breakfast are wonderful. They are so relaxed and comfortable, that it rubs off on everybody there. The place is beautifully situated in the country and is charmingly decorated. We very much enjoyed our stay there are would definitely go back, if ever the chance came to visit that part of the world again. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. They accommodated our very very late arrival time. They always sent us out with extra welsh cakes and fruit to snack on during the day. It was delightful.

Wonderful, very friendly hosts who have transformed an old cottage into something very unique and homely, 2 very good dogs. You book a room but have access to a vast garden, living room and kitchen - it's basically like moving into a shared flat / house for a bit. The home's interior itself is lovingly designed in a somewhat chaotic-but-deliberate 70s soul-meets-rural style that is strikingly charming. Breakfast is 24/7 as in you have access to a fridge and kitchen to be used at you leisure and restocked by the owners.

High bar - more of a sidenote: The rooms can only be individually locked when you're inside. I don't believe anything will ever be taken away out here but people with more expensive stuff than we carried might get nervous.

Such a wonderful home and lovely hosts in a beautiful tranquil spot! Rachel and Richard provide an exceptional environment for guests. Amazingly decorated bedrooms and communal rooms. They make you feel immediately at home and can't do enough for you! We booked late in the day and they were so welcoming and helpful even making dinner reservations for us at a local pub. When we got back they had set a fire for us too! The array of breakfast foods was incredible! Would definitely return!

Beautiful house and location, easy to find and on property parking. Rachel and Richard were so friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect with an amazing view and a private bathroom. Will definitely revisit

The friendly welcome including for our dog (who loved his stay). Lovely garden to relax. Cake , fruit available to us outside of breakfast . Freshly cooked croissants choice of teas. The amount of things to do within an hour’s drive.Newton house well worth a visit dogs allowed .

What can I say except it was a fabulous stay . The owners were amazing we felt like they were our friends. The house is fantastic and the views to die for.

The bit when we had to leave

Rachel and Richard are absolutely fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble for them. They have great sense of humour. The facilities were really nice with great views. I would definitely recommend them. Mark. Gloucester
