Tema'e Beach House

Nick was helpful and knowledgeable about the island, and he kept the house clean and tidy. When I had an accident, he even drove me to the hospital, for which I am extremely grateful.

From the moment I arrived, I felt uncomfortable and out of place. The atmosphere was not that of a welcoming guesthouse, but rather that of an intruder in someone’s private home. Everything was closely watched and controlled, even to the point that there was a sign in the living room saying “behave yourselves.” We were repeatedly instructed to keep clean, which in itself is fine, but the tone made it feel more like a set of strict house rules than a hospitality setting. The host engaged in only a few discussions with guests, and these were mostly unpleasant. One conversation was aimed at stopping people from smoking in the very area the host had designated for smoking. Another was late at night when a guest was trying to remove the host’s cat from the dorm—an animal that should not have been there in the first place. Instead of addressing the issue, the host accused the guest of somehow being at fault for the cat’s presence. The “dorm” is not really a dorm—it’s just a few beds placed in front of the host’s own room, with no door for privacy and no lockers for securing belongings. Guests were also not allowed to use the toilet on the first floor, meaning that even if you were in the kitchen, you had to climb the stairs to the second floor to use the bathroom.

2e fois de mon voyage à séjourner ici, on s’y sent bien et l’endroit est toujours très bien tenu par Yvonnick. Très agréable, confortable et propre, je recommande !

Was nice to have free coffee and access to food left by others

Was really inconvenient and unsure of the possible contamination to have to Wade through flooded water to get in and out of our room. Only one toilet and one shower is not much for everyone.

Moustiques mais on s y fait

Tout : le lieu, très soigné et agréable à vivre; l'hôte, tout à la fois présent, disponible et discret, comme son chat; l'emplacement idéal pour découvrir les plus beaux coins de Moorea. L'emplacement près de l'aéroport n'est vraiment pas un souci niveau nuisance, très peu de passage et pas la nuit ! Voyageuse seule, Yvonnick est très attentif. Et les 4 nuits passées dans le dortoir ont été 100% feminin.

J’ai adoré mon passage dans cette maison. L’intérieur de la maison est agréable et la terrasse est paisible. Yvonnick est un hôte consciencieux de la propreté et du confort du lieu, il est très sympathique et arrangeant. Il est facile de discuter avec lui. La cuisine est bien équipée. Les petits plus pour le café (ou thé) à disposition et pour le chat de la maison qui est adorable !! La plage de Temae, très jolie, est accessible à pied et il est possible de louer un vélo sur place, c’est pratique. J’y reviendrai avec plaisir :)

Prévoir de l’anti-moustique !!

Placé idéalement à quelques minutes à pied de l'aéroport, même si notre hôte propose de nous motoriser surtout par mauvais temps. La belle plage de Tema'e est aussi accessible à pied. Endroit cosy, décoré avec goût. Rencontre de voyageurs. Seuls les moustiques peuvent gâcher le plaisir.
