Mo Ti Baz Kalodyne

Location is attractive for quiet cottage village surrounding and Intermart supermarket proximity (valuable on the island). Hosting family is really helpful and friendly Apartment is clean and spacious , lining room + kitchen is huge , there is a working desk Private patio is a nice combination of sunlight and shade , no area view , but no wind either Cleaning service and bed change every week Very good WiFi

Public beaches are available only by car here (study the maps ) Few things may be improved , for me not so big to bother No washing machine (but washing may be provided as additional service)

The apartment is in the relaxed part of Calodyne with a beautiful garden, close to the beautiful beaches of the northern part of the island. The host, Gabrielle and her family are very kind and welcoming, they helped with everything and answered all of our questions. The accommodation itself is really nice, the interior design is thanks to Gabrielle amazing. She even has art books and travel guides of Mauritus in the house which was very helpful. There were some little animals sometimes in the house like spiders and geckos but they were also friendly. We got some fruits from the garden which was awesome :) Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

The gates to open-close were bit of a hassle each time we wanted to park the car but this is really a very small thing, we didnt mind. Only the front neighbour was a bit rude when we had to wait for my mother to get in the car and he wanted to get out with his car but had to wait for us 2 minutes to leave. Maybe mosquito nets on the windows would be good to have, but not neccesary, this is just a recommendation to keep the bugs out. Also doors between the 2 bedrooms would make it more private.

It's well decorated, we were provided Snorkel gear on request.

1. It is listed as ac property, but the ac is there in only one room. Other room hardly had any window and gets but suffocating 2. Even though host stayed in same house, they refuse to speak to us on phone or in person. Sometimes it is easy to explain things on phone then wasting time in endless chats. 3. There are no doors in any of the bedrooms, so if two couples want to stay there is no privacy, you have to live with curtains. 4. We requested if one friend can stay in advance of her arrival, host charged us double the money which she has listed on booking.com 5. The bathroom drainage is really slow and if you take shower the water comes out in living room. We told host about it and they didn't even know about the issue or couldnt fix it.

The place is really well kept and very cosy. We liked very much and the host was very friendly and had several nice suggestions for us. That area is very hilly but that is common in the island. We felt romantic in such a cute place and as we were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary that day, we got some nice souvenirs. Would definetly recommend.

The house is immaculately clean, spacious, secure, and has all the amenities we needed. Gabrielle, who is lovely, is an excellent host - we did not need her help, as everything was in perfect condition and we had everything we required. The house is close to the beach and near various shops and supermarkets. I would definitely stay here again :)
