Osney Ginkgo Studio - Self Contained Studio Flat

Bon emplacement, à 15 min environ du centre d’Oxford. Facile d’accès grâce aux institutions, pas de prise de tête pour le check in. La chambre était propre. Bouilloire, frigo etc à disposition.

Problème d’insonorisation. Énormément de bruit dans l’immeuble en lui même. Malgré une chambre à côté de la route, c’est vraiment le bruit dans l’immeuble qui est le plus dérangeant. Ce n’était surment que d’autres voyageurs mais les chambres ne sont pas assez insonorisés. Malgré le bruit, bonne expérience.

Posizione comoda anche a piedi nonostante i lavori in corso sul ponte, comodo self check-in, stanza ordinata e intima.

Not far from the station. (However, admist an industrial estate). Leaving. Ability and impressiveness of the owners to charge way more than the room was worth and get away without doing anything about the foul liquid on the floor which limited access to the bed. 

Hygiene and cleanliness, mysterious sopping brown gunk on floor, piece of 50mm loose ill-fitting foam on bed on top of an old mattrees - the foam slipped on turning, noise from other occupants from lack of soundproofing (had to share sounds of the above occupants in bed), lack of cutlery, lack of interest of owner when issues raised, gaps in flooring in toilet (never seen laminate laid on top of carpet, location admist a business park, sink too small to fill the kettle properly, very poor state of decoration and overall shabbiness, lack of fire doors and safety instruction, small space - this is not a 'self-contained studio flat', as claimed, but a smallish bedroom with an ensuite the depth of a single shower, plus a small fridge and a microwave (no utensils or facilities to do anything with this other than heat food using a plate and a small cereal bowl.). Fact that the owner did not answer all messages and, despite effort to enlist help of Bookin.com, they would not agree to a refund of any sort. This was the worst accommodation that, as seasoned international travellers, we have experienced.

Nice bed, easy access, clean, bright space, good value for the money

Maybe 10 min walk to city centre, a bit noisy from upstairs at times, but this is being picky. Still good value.
