4 Periwinkle Place

The hot tub was great, had a nice Weber for a braai. The fireplace was cosy. Generally, everything was good and we enjoyed our time.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable on the main bed. And the bed was very creaky. The cutlery for cooking was also not low quality or burnt, but I was able to look past it. Definitely enjoyed our time.

Getting access to the property was very easy, the lockbox is a good idea. Fully equipped kitchen was very nice for a long stay. The hot tub was fun and easy to operate. Beds was very comfortable and I loved the bath in the main bedroom 🤩 Oh the hanging chair was a favourite next to the cozy fireplace. Communication with our host was easy, Luke was very friendly and accommodating.

A plastic door handle cracked when I opened the door, not a big problem, but I recommend to replace them with a better quality handles.

We had a great stay in the Dunes unit. The location is super convenient and close to the beach and some restaurants (all 1 min by car away), the house is spacious on one floor with two rooms and two bathrooms and a comfy living/dining area, with a garden that is sunny during the day. The car can be parked within the grounds behind an electric driveway fence (the neighborhood however is very safe and we recommend going for a stroll and looking at the great houses). The kitchen was well equipped for our meal-necessities especially with child and the house also had a baby bed and baby high chair. The communication was super easy - Luke was always available and answered straight away and also helped us when we needed a doctor for our child. All in all it was a great base for us for 7 nights in Kommetije. If one thing could be updated for the house (but that’s a bigger invest) is to update the bathrooms a bit and make them as equally modern as the rest of the house. But otherwise all was great and just how we needed it. Thank you Luke!

The location was perfect- on a quiet, family-friendly road, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and easily accessible to the local restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. The home was very cosy with all the amenities needed. The host was very responsive and helpful.
