The Ebor Suite a cosy apartment in Haworth

Nice little apartment big enough for 2 or 3 people. The apartment is compact with everything you need, we only stayed the one night. It was chilly when we arrived, but after putting on the heaters located in the bedroom, lounge and bathroom it was cosy. I wish I'd have taken my slippers as the hard floors were cold. The decor is nice and modern and there is seating outside which is a sunny spot, although it wasn't warm enough to use. The bedroom is spacious and carpeted, the bed has a memory foam mattress which isn't my favourite, but that's just personal preference. The apartment was very quiet except for a bit of road noise in the morning, although it didn't wake us. The location is excellent and the parking over the road is accessible and free. It is an easy walk to the center of Haworth, just go out of the gate turn left and then right at the top of the road, this will take you to the railway station and it's a stroll over the railway footbridge and not far until you can enter the park on the right. It is a bit hilly, but that's part of the charm of the place. Keep heading up and right after the bandstand and you get to Main street and the Fleece Inn where all the shops and eateries are. It takes about 15mins. There are some great cafes, shops and restaurants. We found all the pubs to be very traditional and had a drink in the Haworth old hall and coffee and cake (vegan) in Cobbles snd clay. Not all of the shops and eateries were open on a Thursday and Friday in May. We had a lovely meal with friends at the very busy Treehouse restaurant only about 6mins walk away from the apartment., which I'd recommend.

There were only a couple of niggles I had about the place. Firstly the hard flooring could do with a good clean as our socks were dirty after walking around and secondly the bedroom did have a slight damp smell. I'm sure this is due to the very old building and there's probably not much you could do about it. It didn't effect my sleep, so it wasn't that bad. I had asked for all the scented air fresheners to be removed as I'm sensitive to perfumes and the owner kindly did this for me before our arrival. As you'll read in other reviews there is a macerator which makes quite some noise but helps with the drainage. If you don't flush in the night it's not a problem.

The decor was good and the host seemed very nice. Whilst parking wasn't straight outside there was easy parking on the road around the corner.

Location at the bottom of Haworth, we should have checked and booked one nearer the centre. Apartment had very low door access in bathroom which caused a few knocks to the head and the flat was a little chilly at times...I suppose it's the large thick walls. The toilet was a pump mechanism and was very loud but again with the design couldn't have been avoided.
