Directions sent through were easy to follow. Key access box was easy to retrieve keys. Tea, coffee and milk left for our arrival. Host text details required in plenty of time before check in.

"excellent!"

9.0

We had a lovely time in this accommodation. It was a decent size for a family of 6 and very well equipped. The location is great for exploring southern Cornwall and Chris , the owner is very helpful and always at hand to help with anything. We highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely come back again.

The floors are thin. We have two small boys who were running around the apartment and were told off by the people staying in the apartment below. We could also hear a lot of noise from the apartment above us.

"Charming Location in Beautiful Cornwall"

8.0

The shining highlight of this converted mill is its idyllic location--so green and beautiful. It was fascinating to look at the old mill works and imagine it in antiquity. It was incredibly quiet at night. The flat has been renovated with some stylish touches. Windows look down on lovely garden and country views. The flat is much larger than I expected, with a 3 bedrooms, a long hallway and a large, separate family/dining room. The bathroom is dated, but is very large for British standards. The kitchen is also dated and is pretty scantily supplied for those who plan to cook here. The nearby Lizard peninsula is a wonderful place to hike. We also happened upon Cadgwith Cove after our stay here and were blown away with its charm. It was possibly our favorite village in Cornwall with thatch roofs on ancient homes and little tourist traffic.

The worst part about this stay is the TINY roads leading in. We are from the US and driving a standard transmission rental car on the world's smallest roads is stressful. The private road leading into the flat is scarcely big enough for one small car and my son-in-law was sweating bullets driving in! Happily, there is a small parking lot by the flat with ample room to park and turn around. In addition, there is a surprising amount of noise that comes through the ceiling from the flat above. Like you can clearly hear voices and footsteps. Happily, the people above were not up late and the noise was heard mainly after 7 am in the morning. The beds were average with regard to comfort--not great. The front door is extremely difficult to unlock. The owner was slow to respond to a couple of questions and stated I should've called rather than messaged--not easy to do with a US phone number.

"Disappointing overall"

5.0

The location is very good, though a bit tricky to navigate with the tiny road. It was cool to stay in a converted old mill. Pretty surroundings. Nice host.

The washing machine didn't work, which was the main reason we booked the property. The upstairs guests had a very loud party until late--and then were up very early doing more noise-making. There isn't much decor, which I don't generally care about, but it made it feel much less inviting and seems like a small investment for the owner. He was very nice when I called about the washing machine, but that didn't fix the fact that we were unable to use the washing machine as planned.
