Cow Hill Pod

The lock box code was provided way ahead of arrival and was really easy to locate and use. The pod is lovely and cosy and has everything you need for a couple of days away. Great wee base to explore from and equally comfy to relax in.

One very small complaint was the duvet was a little warm for the time of year. A lighter one would've been great or even a light sheet or blanket provided. Didn't dampen how good the place was, more a small point to make it even better.

Freedom to come and go as we please. Lovely quiet area

Didn't realise it was in a residential area, that came as a bit of a surprise and wasnt the easiest to find. The neighbours greenery is hiding the cabin and sign for parking and he was a bit rude when he asked to move our car.

This was a great space, really cosy, comfortable, lovely views

A little bit further out from the town center and we didn't have a car but there's a bus that runs and, once we worked out directions, it was an easy walk.

Confort très discutable. Porte salle de bains wc ne se ferme qu’avec un bruit épouvantable . Vu l’exiguïté du lieu, on est réveillé à coup sur. Propriétaire invisible. Un voisin donne la clé . Notre chambre : la plus chère du séjour et la pire. Je ne recommande pas ce logement .

Nice pod but could have been better.

Bathroom door would not close it was sticking to the floor had to be left open about 3 inches not ideal in such a short space. Mugs hanging up next to the sink had stains inside them not very appealing.

Cow Hill Pod is adorable, and well set up for the small space it occupies! I definitely wouldn’t want more than two people here - it was good for just myself. The owners provided clear instruction on how to access the property, and had a few kitchen/pantry extras available which is always helpful. It’s also a good spot to go to local places like Ben Nevis and only an hour or two from Loch Ness; however it’s very tucked back in a residential area so I wouldn’t recommend walking down to the waterfront where the restaurants and shop are - drive there too. There’s also a creek running behind the house which was lovely to hear at night (no traffic noise) and the front deck provides a great view of the mountains!

The shower is similar to a caravan/campervan set up, and while always hot and available, the pressure was fairly weak. I also had a hard time locking the front door when I left each day, which made me concerned about both my things and my own safety. Small issues in the grand scheme of things though :)
