Spindrift, St Ives

Good communication from Luxury costal prior to arriving on key location/parking etc. Apartment was clean and has everything you need. Good location 10-15 minute walk to beaches and town centre (Is a fairly steep hill walk back for anyone with mobility issues).

One neighbour who lives to the left of the apt down the right lane felt the need to complain about walking dogs down her road which she insisted was a private lane (no signs to say this is). Absolute Karen, was politely told to do one.

Location, on the edge of St Ives , as we had our 2 dogs with us , very practical & also very quiet. Also only 6 min walk from St Ives RFC parking , 3 & 8 walk from two small shop's, Decor has obviously been well thought about ,

Not enough cutlery & crockery (set of 6 would be great) & a small vacuum cleaner would be good too , very minor cosmetic thing's catch the eye but that's being picky

It could have been cleaned a lot better and the bed isn't anywhere near as big as advertised and the bathroom needs a huge update

St. Ives is such a beautiful place and, we visit frequently. The property is located in the upper part of the town with nice views to Porthmeor beach. The bed was comfortable.

The standard of cleaning was appalling in the kitchen and lounge area, warranting escalation to Luxury Coastal. Whilst there was an offer to have the cleaner come back out, I opted to clean myself so we could use the facilities and feel more confident doing so. At the height of the covid restrictions properties, amended their check in times to supposedly allow for extra cleaning, which havent appeared to have reverted since the pandemic has settled. There was no WiFi, by the time any assistance with this could be given, it was pointless. This property is not cheap to let, and certainly didn't have a luxury feel or facilities. This wouldn't be suitable for anyone with restriction to mobility as the stairs are narrow and the wall partially exposed. In summer parking is premium in St Ives and not always possible.

Lovely location. Slightly surprised at how little kitchen equipment we had, I suspect you were not meant to want to do any serious cooking; there were no oven trays or even a wooden spoon; however, it was a lovely place. The only thing which my other half pointed out was the bath screen seal was rusty and needed replacing; however, that’s being picky, to say the least.
