South Stable Cosy Stone Retreat with Parking

Facilities and location were perfect

Bit tricky with parking as we have a large car and one other large car parked right on the line in the top car park, not leaving enough room for us. We managed to park on the main road leading into Alnmouth for few hours until another space was available. Also, cars parked at bottom of the drive in front of a garage door which made parking there bit difficult.

Super close to the Main Street in Alnmouth and an only short walk to the estuary and beach. The property itself is a high good quality renovation, perfect for a couple.

The wet room isn’t easy to dry and everything needs to be moved out of the bathroom if showering, so it doesn’t get wet. Might benefit from a folding screen.

There was a good selection of tea, coffee etc for our use as well as a welcome bottle of fizzy wine which was a nice touch

Nothing we didn’t like but maybe a few board games in the property would have been nice.

Excellent communication with the manager. Very thoughtful additions - bath robes, very good lighting, books and dvds. There was a comfortable temperature at all times. Nicely appointed and within easy walking distance of the beach and a good variety of places to eat, as well as a nearby bus stop for Alnwick. The description is very apt - a cosy retreat.

There was nothing to dislike.

The cottage is very well appointed, with quality fixtures and fittings and lots of equipment in the kitchen. Lovely large mugs and cereal bowls which other properties often skimp on.

The parking is very tight as everyone seems to have an SUV nowadays, and we had a lot of noise from people standing outside the pub next door on a Saturday night.

Very comfortable, warm and cosy. Really well equipped, car parking. Really close to pubs and restaurant.

The en suite and shower are absolutely fine but just a little bit tight but that shouldn’t deter anyone from staying here at all.

The property was ideal for a couple, very clean with everything you needed for a break away. It was warm and cosy. The bottle of fizz was a nice welcome treat too !

It wasn’t a problem for us but not having a door on the bedroom means you can hear everything from the lounge area, so basically if you’re a couple, you might disturb each other if going to bed/getting up at different times.
