Design and elegance in the heart of Madrid

The design of the apartment is very nice and modern and the location is great as it is close to the metro and only around a 10 - 15 minute walk to the station

The downstairs en-suite shower could do with a door or something to stop the water as when you have a shower it soaks all the bathroom and there is nowhere for this to drain, leaving a very damp smell and meaning you have to wear shoes to go to the toilet for hours after

The flat itself was fine, was dark however and not much light. It is all open plan however so no privacy from the other people we were staying with.

There are two bathrooms both of which the showers do not drain at all meaning the floor was completely flooded after taking a shower! Barely any towels provided so a nightmare to clean up which you should not have to be doing on your holiday! Because of this there was a constant horrible damp smell in the place. Extremely disappointed, being able to shower is a basic requirement for accommodation. I didn't even bother to contact the rental company as I had already had previous issues with them and couldn't face the hassle seeing as they barely speak English and are very unhelpful anyway. Also, I paid for the stay in full a non-refundable set price on booking com. Rent it up then contacted me and said I owed them another 50 euros for cleaning as booking.com had 'forgot' to add it to the price. I tried to argue with them that this was not my issue and they should be taking this to booking.com but they refused and told me to cancel which I couldn't do as it was non-refundable! Anyway long story short I paid it to avoid losing the full holiday. This is a total scam !! I will be contacting booking.com separately but trust me avoid this place at all costs!!
