The owner upgraded us to the superior king which was lovely of him. Room had everything we needed, our evening meal was fresh and tasty with massive portions. The breakfast was also delicious. We have always wanted to stay overnight and it didn't disappoint

We missed having somewhere comfy to sit with a book on a miserable afternoon. Given the layout of the property this isn’t possible.

If you have even the slightest interest in cleanliness DO NOT stay at this 'accommodation'. Our ground floor room was filthy and the only clean thing was the bedding. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned for months. There was no towel rail as the previous one had been broken off and not replaced. The shelf above the sink was missing. There was nowhere to put your own toiletries other than the floor..... hardly hygienic as the floor needed cleaning. Toilet hadn't been cleaned. Main bedroom..... filth in all the corners. Floor hadn't been cleaned and god knows when the last time the rug had been hoovered/cleaned - we avoided walking on it. We were booked in for 2 nights (and had paid for 2 nights via Booking.com) and left after 1 night.... would have left earlier if not for the tide times. AVOID AVOID!

The only thing going for the inn was the location - Lindisfarne is lovely and accommodation is not easy to come by as it is so popular and there are limited one night stay locations. Definitely a sellers market!

I had hoped that given the fact we paid nearly £200 for one night we might have had a more luxurious space to stay. I had tried to contact in advance about vegan food and parking to no avail so there was no plant milk or spread for breakfast and the toast was the burger bun they served with the only vegan option for dinner. The accommodation was tired and not very clean and the staff could be heard bickering in the background.
