Domum - The Comunist Apartment

Liked the realistic old times apartment’s design because it felt closer to my childhood. Old, however preserved appliances or electronic apparel, omnipresent glass fish :), plastic oranges, old books immersing into an extinct culture, ubiquitous seltzer bottle a.s.o. It felt like in a time capsule. However the apartment is very modern in regards to keyless control, heat, water and tv and cleanliness. It felt funny and warm.

Only stayed for one night but wish i was there longer. The apartment was perfect and Eugen was incredibly helpful! Perfect location and amazing price. Would definitely return!

Super host and great location. It is in the 60-70s theme so not expecting modern facilities but flat screen TVs in each room was a big bonus.

Needs better air circulation (although I have not tried opening the windows or back door). No shower curtain so floor gets wet.

I liked all the random objects like old cameras, roller skates and records. Tea and coffee was provided. Communication was good. Short walk to old town Overall a unique stay

Wonderful time warp apartment with all facilities that we needed. So many objects d'art to wonder at and examine! Very good communication with host, friendly and helpful.

No shower curtain of bath mat! Would have liked a hob to cook pasta or eggs!

The accommodation is located in a very beautiful place, and it's just a short walk uphill from the train station. Shops and restaurants are a 20-minute walk away. The staff is very kind and helpful. I gladly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Amazing to step back in time and live amongst the memorabilia of the communist times. Apartment is pretty large and has the basic amenities needed - it's also as central as possible, being just next to the central fountains and near the old town- theres also a large carrefore across the road for groceries. Contact with the Owner through whatsapp was great, all details and photos of how to check in where sent on the day of arrival. We were there for 5 days Really enjoyed our stay! (and love that the old crt tv still works!)

The location is fantastic. Just 10 min (or less) to Old Town and good public transportation. The communication with the owner (Eugen) was really good and he was always responsive. The vibe of the communist era house is very cool and interesting.

The bathroom smells really bad, so you have to make sure to open all the windows. On Friday and Saturday there are wild parties downstairs and the music is loud until morning.

- The decoration is amazing, all the furniture and television transports you to another time, super cool the television in black and white. - Centrical location

- No toilet paper, that's basic to have. The toilet does not have the necessary power, so you can only pee.... - The shower has no curtain so the bath ends up soaking wet. - No stove, so the kitchen ends up being impractical. - They could put more effort into cleaning
