The West End Flats

Check-in is definitely at 3pm, just like they say! I arrived a little early and found that the code didn’t work until the clock struck three. Totally on me—I should’ve reached out ahead of time. Honestly, it gave me a chance to unwind for a bit while I sat in my car, which was kind of nice. The apartment itself is absolutely lovely! The space is full of charm, the bed was super comfy, and the windows let in the most beautiful light. It felt like a little retreat. There were just a few small things I noticed—a lot of crumbs on the coffee table from previous guests, no washcloths that I could find, a tiny stain on the sheets that looked like spaghetti (which, if it was spaghetti, sounds like a good time to me!), the wrong kind of coffee filters for the machine (it uses #4 cone filters), and the pull chain on the bedside lamp is missing. But truly, those are minor details compared to the overall experience. The building is so unique, the AC kept everything perfectly cool, and having a brewery literally 11 steps from the room was *chef's kiss*. The location is amazing, too. I’d happily stay here again and look forward to it! omg - I forgot mention THERE'S A CEILING FAN!!! Bonus points right thur.

The room was in an old government bldg repourposed with apartments. Nice space. Comfortable bed. Couple things...no wash cloths, nightstand light switch broken so my phone didn't charge. Check in. Online check in was tedious

Very reasonable for such a comfortable room with full kitchen. But book early as an additional registration process is required.

My stay was fantastic. Location near by lots of local restaurants and breweries. Would definitely come back again.

Overall it was very reasonably priced. We just stayed on the first/ basement level. Our window was an egress.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The West End Flats in Roanoke, VA, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The apartment-style accommodations are spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind—from the comfortable furnishings to the fully equipped kitchen that made my stay feel like a true home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere that allowed for restful nights. What truly set The West End Flats apart, however, was the sense of community and convenience. The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown Roanoke, with its excellent dining, shops, and attractions. Free parking and a brewery on site are an amazing plus! Yet, the peaceful neighborhood offered a quiet retreat after a day of exploration. I cannot recommend The West End Flats highly enough for anyone visiting Roanoke. Whether you’re in town for business, a weekend getaway, or an extended stay, it’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. I will definitely be returning!

The stay was great the ONLY thing was the dryer vent had hair from the previous tenant and it got into my clothes . Other than that it was an awesome stay , I can’t wait to book here again
