Ponder Cottages - The Villa

Ponder was fabulous! From the moment we arrived, we had staff to help with our bags, make us feel welcome and show us around! Having a laundry was a bonus, plus loved plenty of hanging places for wet, damp things! Suited our family of 9 very well, the outdoor kitchen/entertaining/pool area is amazing and inside is very spacious and cool! Location is prime, and the host Mark is very knowledgeable of the area, friendly, helpful and gave us some great eating options close by! We would highly recommend, a perfect place to stay when visiting beautiful lembongon with a larger group or family!

Perfect location- right near the beach and easy to walk to everything. The hosts Mark and Susi were so helpful - organised the ferries over, day trips to Nusa Penida and snorkelling. We had 2 families with teenage kids (and older) and the villa was perfect - lots of room inside and outside, plenty of chairs and a huge table. The pool was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped (a blender!) and there was a washing machine. The staff came in each day to tidy which was fantastic.

As part of the house couldn’t be shut, mozzies were able to get into the house.

The villa was absolutely perfect for a large group! The staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home! The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes from the beach. The pool was spotless and a lovely place to relax in the evening.

Mark, the owner was super nice and super helpful, he checked us in and out, helped us with bookings for boats / scooters etc, and even carrying cases. we also had cleaners every day which we wouldn’t normally expect in a villa although if I’m being picky I would have liked them to come a little later than 10am - and the sofa / living room could have been a little more comfortable, but as the sun shone every day we wouldn’t have spent time there anyway! The pool filter seemed to be struggling a little but we made Mark aware and I’m sure he’ll get it fixed asap. It didn’t really bother us as the location is as good as it gets and we preferred to walk approx 100 metres and spend our time at some of the nicest restaurants in NL or on the beach or and in the sea. It worked perfectly for us and we extended our initial stay . It’s a great option for a family or group. A really good sized villa an a great outside space and kitchen. We had a fantastic time. The location is right up there and more than makes up for the very little niggles that I’ve mentioned.. Thank-you Mark for looking after us so well. Nusa Lembongan was a highlight of our trip and your hospitality and villa played a big part of that.

Loved everything about the cottage - five bedrooms each with private bathroom, large out door kitchen, dining and lounge (fans in this area and a Bluetooth speaker for music). Property has well appointed kitchen and large fridge ( you could cook own food if you wanted). Private large pool with sun lounges and chairs. Beds very comfortable and bath and beach towels included. Perfect location - very short stroll down lane to Jungut Batu Beach and close to restaurants, shops, and massage places. A warm welcome by Mark (owner) and staff street side to help with luggage. Mark was brilliant helping us by organising snorkelling trips and day trip to Penida and around Nusa Lembongan, as well as tips on local places to eat and drink. An extremely comfortable stay - a real bonus is the outdoor kitchen and dining area which is poolside.. fantastic outdoor communal area.. but if you wanted to be in Airconditioning there is also an indoor lounge and dining table (we did not use though because it was so lovely by the pool).

Nothing to dislike - we loved everything about this villa/cottage).
