The flat is in an excellent location. All of the facilities were good. The host left clear instructions.

The Smart Meter- was a bit off putting! The property uses/used a lot of electricity!

It was damp. Smoker in flat underneath so smell permeated. My clothes smelt when I left of both damp and cigarettes. The amount of stairs to the room with luggage was difficult. Then having to go back up to get/take back parking permit back.

No shower gel or shampoo. No hot water, had to turn immersion heater on.

The flat is cute, clean, and relatively spacious, in an excellent central location for exploring Buxton. The bed is comfy and there's a functional little kitchen to cook in. The host was very kind and attentive, and responded quickly to all our questions.

The flat is up several flights of stairs; there was a lift but it was not working at the time we visited, which was hard to manage for my disabled partner. It was extremely chilly when we arrived (we joked that the picture of Antarctica in the hallway should have warned us!), and the heating took a LONG while to heat up the flat; this would probably not be an issue on most occasions, but we happened to travel when it was heavily snowing. The water heater is very finicky and the notes left for us advised there wasn't enough water pressure for a bath, which was disappointing. Speaking of which, the amount of instructions left (like how and how much to use the water heater and radiators, etc.) also made us feel a little like a friend was letting us use their flat, rather than us paying for a place to stay.

Nice flat with a lovely view right in the centre of Buxton. We drove 5 minutes down the road to a free car park and went for some lovely walks with amazing views
