I believe the main door to the block should have been locked as we were given a separate code for the outside door but throughout our stay this was always unlocked which I think presents a security issue as anyone could access the building.

Only one negative- the kettle pours really badly- I spilt boiling water and over the floor while trying to pour it. Could be dangerous and a near miss in future.
NZGBThe flat was clean. It has a simple, generic modern design. There is enough crockery, glasses and cutlery. There are useful bus stops nearby. There is a Spar a couple of doors down and a garage across the road. The shower is good - a lovely big waterfall head and the bathroom is modern and clean. Tea bags and instant coffee are provided.
I thought I'd booked a two-bedroom apartment with two double beds. In fact the beds were one small double and one large single, which meant that on one night one of my friends ended up on the very tiny sofa with no bedding - there was no extra bedding available. There wasn't enough sitting room furniture for the four of us to sit on so one of us had to sit on the floor while the others sat squished up in a row on the very tiny sofa. There is zero way to make coffee (apart from instant) - a plunger would be good. There were no basics provided in the fridge (eg milk, butter). We ran out of toilet paper before the end of our stay. I was woken up at 6:30am on bank holiday Monday by continuous thudding for around 45 minutes - I have no idea where this was coming from. I booked flat 6 but we stayed in flat 8. All of the above would have been okay if it had been a bit cheaper, but for the same money I have stayed in a 4-star hotel with a buffet breakfast included in the last week.

The seagulls were very noisy on the roof and the blinds did not block out the light at all so was difficult to sleep in. Also food bits on balcony attracted gulls.

It was a pain to get in with the codes etc a real faff! Our friend was locked in the toilet and staff had gone home so we called the fire brigade so that our evening wasn’t completely ruined

GBThe apartment was spotlessly clean and had great facilities, beds where very comfortable, also it is situated in a good location nearby to the city centre and was good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

GBIt's a great apartment, very new and clean, in a convenient location if you want to explore Bristol. Directions and explanations for entering were good, and it was very pleasingly set up.
Unfortunately the pots and pans supplied in the apartment did not work on the induction cook top, which was a disappointment as we had booked the apartment so that we could cook our own food. Hotwells was very responsive at first and promised that someone would bring new ones the next day, but they never materialised and we didn't hear back from them for the rest of our stay, even after a follow up query. All the food we had bought to cook went to waste and we had to spend money eating out, which we had hoped to avoid.
