The Dove Inn

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Slightly strange to not have a staff member onsite, and would be worrying if you're staying alone.

Bathroom was well set out and shower was good - especially important after a full days walk. I also liked how the owners made the effort to contact us in advance to ensure the bedding was set up as a twin and not a double.

We would have had a breakfast but it didn't start until 0930, which was too late for us to access.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly, room was comfortable and clean with good facilities. Breakfast was lovely. Would stay here again

We received a warm welcome when we arrived. The room was very spacious and even though it faced a busy main road it wasn't noisy. Staff were all friendly and food was great, always served promptly and always hot.

Nothing to dislike about The Dove Inn. We would definitely stay there again. We were lucky to see a great live band perform there.

The team were super friendly and helpful, but not excessive, so just about perfect. The rooms and apartment had everything we needed. Location is good and very easy to find. Lots of choice for breakfast and evening meals.

There was nothing really, clearly lots of effort had gone into the standard of decoration. But it is an older building and some floors weren't quite level or doors didn't consistently shut. The bathroom had a lock but it was fiddly, so did open unexpectedly but just a minor point.

Breakfast not included but could be purchased in the café. Good selection. Very good outside space.

Road noise is very loud. We were there on a hot night and had to have the window open. A fan was supplied on the second night which helped. There was a terrible smell from the bathroom drain which kept recurring even though the owners tried to treat it. Bad reception on the TV which was fixed by using the streamed channels. Luckily we got the Wifi password from another resident as we couldn't find it in the room.
