Private One Bedroom Flat in Barnet, London

Nice, self contained annex which allowed us to come and go as we pleased. It was comfortable and well kitted out.

A cute, contemporary, peaceful, very clean and lovely apartment with a well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, roomy fridge/freezer, gas hob, oven, plenty of kitchen cupboards and a good and compact extractor fan (pull out). Plenty of seating with a lovely leather sofa, coffee table, wifi, tv, sofa bed and a 4 person kitchen table with comfortable chairs. The shower cubicle is spacious with two very nice shower heads (one smaller, but powerful removable one). There is much natural light streaming in once you open the blinds with view of the garden (the apartment is at the back of the main house), and this garden is beautifully kept and everything inside and outside looks and feels serene. It is a very lovely place to relax in after a busy day sightseeing or just for a quiet getaway and rest!

The bathroom is small due to a very tight space between the toilet and wall with towel rail, and a small wash basin. It is a squeeze to get into the shower area (but the shower cubicle itself is perfect in size) and a small space for maneuvering and drying off. A shelf or something to store toiletries in the bathroom is needed. Also, a narrow tallboy (cupboard with drawers) and one or two wall shelves for the bedroom would be handy. There are bright ceiling spotlights but no dimmer switch. So, people who like very bright artificial light in rooms will be okay, but to also have a separate uplighter/free standing corner light and/or a table lamp is more comfortable on the eyes and is more atmospheric.

Had a party to attend 10min walk away, so this was perfect for getting ready and sleeping after. Access made simple, and host communication quick. Easy to find and parking available.

Teabags provided, but no coffee. The bed was very hard but acceptable, and the rainfall shower didn’t work (hand held one did though)

A nice, clean, comfortable apartment. It had all we needed for the few days. The host was very nice, she replied to our questions straight away.

We thought we would be closer to Finchley than we were. Had to get bus or Uber to tube station.
