Alegre Beach House - Langebaan

It’s not the most modern house, but it has a very unique atmosphere and we felt very much at home! It’s got all the necessary facilities and we were even offered a late checkout, which was highly appreciated. We would definitely book it again, whenever looking for accommodation in Langebaan.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Great quality linen-kitchen fully stocked with a roaring fireplace and a long table-what more could we ask for? Thank you,we had a wonderful time.

The house is self-service, beautifully renovated but simple in Cape Dutch beach house style. It is very close to the beach and restaurants, spacious and very clean. We especially loved the fire in the hearth in the kitchen, that was lit just as we arrived and gave a cosy warm glow, matched only by the host's efficiency and friendly demeanour.

The location was close to the beach and the house was spacious

The cars was standing in the street and not behind a gate The dustbin was very small and the rubbish bags also We had to request toilet paper cause every bathroom only had 1 roll The tv room only seated 4 people and this was a 8 bedroom house. The chairs in the tv room was positioned so that you could not see the tv at all The shower head was loose and fell on my child while showering. There is no bath in the house The front door and back door lock are not very good and only my husband could lock the back door There was no dishwasher in the house and this puts a lot of strain on my wife There was not an ironing board in the house The pots did not have lids And there was no plastic for the kids to use

Perfect location for the purpose we booked it. One minute walk from the beach. Friendly and knowledgeable host.

If you are in Langebaan for windsurfing and kitesurfing the location is great, 2nd row, 5min walk to the water.

It’s an old historic building which gives it its unique lovely character, yet this gets reflected in the functionality of door and window locks which sometimes were hard to move or even broke.
