We had the most amazing stay at Canhoto Douro with the most expectional hosts of Sandra, Nuno and their sons! It is set in a vineyard with clean, spacious rooms with air con and a great waterfall shower and an infinity pool outside your bedroom door. Breakfast was 10 out of 10 with a eggs from the chicken on the farm. We also did a wine and port tasting with Sandra which we throughly enjoyed with her expertise. A wonderful place to relax.
Everything was 10 out of 10. However, I would recommend having a car for the area as it difficult to get Ubers in the area.

Everything about the property was wonderful. The pool and views were great to wake up to, the owners were so so nice and kind to our two little boys, and the two-bedroom house was perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Breakfast was delicious every day, and we were given really great local restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking to be in the Duoro Valley!

Excelente alojamento. Família linda e um local maravilhoso. Agradeço todo o amor e cuidado para comigo e com a minha família, fizeram-me sentir em casa. Sem esquecer o belo pequeno almoço com produtos caseiros e delicioso, a piscina e todos os animais lindos desta quinta. Obrigada Sandra, Nuno, Rodrigo, Santiago e Henrique por tudo. Iremos voltar!! "A peaceful few days in an in-touristy part of Portugal"

Canhoto is a peaceful place set in a vineyard. Our hostess was friendly and helpful and we loved her home made breakfasts. Having donkeys, chickens and dogs on hand added to our enjoyment. We loved view from the patio and the pool across the Douro valley. The accommodation is very new and a real treat.

Pequeno almoço fantástico, com produtos caseiros e muito saborosos. Riquíssimo. A experiência com os animais é muito boa para as crianças e adultos também.
É especial por ser um sítio reservado e sossegado. Mas o espaço de partilha da piscina com as 4 habitações e o espaço imediato à frente do quarto (e cama) partilhado entre as 3 habitações não cria um espaço de intimidade/privacidade que tornaria a experiência ainda mais especial.
