We had a great stay! The house is pretty amazing with its unique architectural style! The room was large comfortable, Maty and Jacques were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the location, a stone's throw away from the ocean. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay!

This place is wonderful. Read all the other reviews. They talk about how great the hosts are and you can easily see how charming it is in the pictures. In the middle of a long vacation that required a lot of social demands on us in Dakar, our very brief stay here really felt like a retreat. We had to go to Dakar on a big holiday and they arranged a (awesome) driver who knew the roads and got us to town and came and picked us up again conveniently. I'd honestly say that our three rides with our driver were some of our best experiences in Senegal. Seriously, I hope he comes to the US and visits us. It helps if you speak French, but if you don't, then take advantage of translation apps because the hosts are a highlight of the guest experience. There was one other guest who came through briefly while we were there and she was also delightful. The conviviality of the place is definitely a draw. At the time we were there, the Lac wasn't very Rose, and our time was limited around the big holiday, so we never actually took the time to get down to the lake. I probably would if I got there again. That said, the sea is walkably close and a nice visit instead. There is a strong chance we may pass through Senegal again in the future, and I would DEFINITELY go out of my way to stay here again. Thank you again!

It took our friend forever to find this place because it is REALLY in the middle of nowhere. That's not a problem, but if you think it will be a simple walk to Lac Rose, think again. Due to the solid construction of the building, wifi wasn't accessible in our rooms, but was in common areas. Not the end of the world. You will see that it is not air conditioned but there are mosquito nets. We were a little warm at night and unaccustomed to sleeping under mosquito nets. Our feet got caught in them. That's on us. It wasn't too hot to sleep, but it is something to consider if you are not used to adapting.
