Quite unclean, kind of gross even. Communication barrier made for confusion. Too many beds for the capacity of facilities.

駅から歩く場合、単純な道ではないので、暗いと迷うかもしれない。

The host was nice enough to let us cancel our booking and generally was quite a good person. We had booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1 before we cancelled. He refunded us half of what we paid.

We booked the whole house because my friends and I wanted to have our own space. We only found out the host was also staying in the house after we booked. We could cancel for free but decided to still go with it. When we arrived, we were disappointed because it did not meet our expectations. It was not very clean and a little bit dusty. The beds were okay but moths kept coming into the living room. The place overall might be passable for solo travelers looking for a relatively cheap place to just sleep in and only planning to stay for a short time but for us, it was not what we were expecting. If you're just looking for any hostel to sleep in you can consider it but note that the host lives with you and the house common areas is not particularly clean or tidy (it's not horribly dirty either)

Bit of a walk from kii-Tanabe station but a lovely host with dorm like bedrooms, and a place to rest your head before taking on a walk to the mountains the next day. Very close quarters but a great budget option.

ファミリーで8人部屋ドミトリーで利用させていただきましたが、お気遣いいただき、2000円追加で6人部屋貸切にしていただきました。 子供たちも秘密基地みたいやと大はしゃぎだったので、貸切にしてもらって助かりました。 ぐっすりと眠れて翌日のクルマの運転も楽でした。

特にこの料金ですから、良くないところはないかと思います。

The property manager is very kind and works hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. He was kind enough to offer me a ride to the trailhead for the Kumano Kodo trail.

The location is a 40 min walk from the train station, which is okay if you don’t have much luggage.
