USI was fine with the Drift I was disappointed in booking.com. They guaranteed me a city view and the Drift told me they did not get that request from booking.com. Therefore I was facing a parking lot. on the ground level not what I thought I booked through booking.com.

USLovely staff. Fantastic service and facilities, The cocktail bar served up wonderful drinks and the Dawn coffee and breakfast on site cafe was delightful. I loved that so many people were in the lounge area reading books in the evening. This hotel is perfect in every way!

It felt like an 8/10 stay overall — the basic rooms on the ground floor felt like such a weird layout with rooms opening out onto the car park so you couldn’t open the blinds and have synthetic light all the time. The design of the room was industrial/ minimalist but it was verging on very bare. We had to book an extra night’s stay because of transport issues and the basic room on the upper floor was much better. I really disliked the location. You needed a car to get to the city — it says 20 mjns walking which we’d ordinarily do but the receptionist said it was unsafe. That meant a lot of extra cost on Uber. Whilst The Sun Room did great food the area itself was not well maintained. The tables were always dirty and things not cleared away. I think this could be lack of staff as we often had to wait a long time for drinks service

Falsely advertised on Booking.com. I booked knowing it wasn’t a widely known commercial hotel chain and more of a niche concept but there was so much loud DJ music and partying. This felt like more of a party swinger hotel. The room lacked functional furniture. I had 3 other guests with me and our luggage basically had to sit on the floor. During our breaks from activities out in the city the only place to sit in the room was in the beds in dirty outside clothing. The room needed a desk and at least a sitting chair or two. Never booking here again.
