Balangan Beach - Villa Sixteen

Plutôt propre par rapport à ce qu’on trouve en général à Bali et la villa est très confortable et très bien agencé

We splurged on this Villa for when we first arrived from the US so we could start off our time in Bali well. It was SO clean and comfortable as a place to adjust to 12-hour jet-lag, so spacious with two sofa sectionals (one upstairs, one down) and big smart-TVs to zone out at when we were tired, comfy bedding, an in-suite bathroom in all the bedrooms (plus an extra for the main living space), a purified water dispenser to full our water bottles, and a basket of fruit and fresh flowers waiting for us. Though we were only there 3 nights, they came to clean after 2 (unless we requested otherwise). And the host was incredibly responsive and helpful for things were needed or suggestions. We made breakfast at the Villa and took it to the table by the pool, and there were 2 little grocery stores in walking distance with eggs, cheese, cereal, milk, and an AMAZING bread shop and very nice restaurants mostly for tourists a little further walk (and a very local one just a couple blocks away by called Daftar where the four of us ate dinner and shared a dessert and the total bill came to only $5–very amazing little gem we went back to two more times!). Blangan beach is good for sunset strolls and dinner overlooking the water at sunset, but it’s difficult to get in the water due to baby muscles on the rocks making it sharp. Bring water shoes! At Dreamland Beach it’s more if a scene with beach umbrellas and lots I’d people in the water, and my kids and I had so much fun in the very decent-sized waves for body surfing or just playing in the water, having a coconut or meal overlooking the water, really fun (would probably be too intense for younger kids since the waves crash hard and you have to go under many of them). Uluwatu Temple was also a highlight!!! Loved the monkeys and intense scenery. Back to the house, there were 3 showers with great hot water, total climate control in each room, and a gorgeous space to relax, take a swim, or read after a day at the beach.

This turned out not to be a problem, but it is not AT the beach, it is about a 19-minute taxi ride to Balangan or 18 or so to Dreamland. We downloaded the Grab app back in the US and uploaded my credit card (a bit challenging) and that made it SO easy to get a taxi, get a scooter, or get food delivered—or even order underwear to be delivered if your son forgot to pack any!!!). Makes everything easy. Strong reliable WiFi at the Villa helped with that! And we enjoyed being a bit off the beaten track and in a regular Balinese neighborhood. One thing to note is there wasn’t oil or sugar or spices at the house (a small bit of salt and whole peppercorns), so bring whatever you need if you want to cook at home. There’s plenty of good pots and pans and spatulas and knives and cutting boards and a blender and rice cooker if you want to do that.

We loved the villa. It was exactly what we wanted. The kids loved the private pool 🤩

The property was very clean and well presented. Also in a quiet area with no construction noise nearby.

Clean nice bedrooms.

Location not great. No room or seating around pool just 2 old bean bags on small turfed area. Not enough for 3 bedroom villa. Few classes no wine classes. Pool small. More curtains needed in master bedroom. Shower became blocked during our stay. Only one sofa if been 6 people where would they sit.

Feels like home, very spacious. Has everything we needed. The pool was nice and clean.

The bed was on the hard side. But that was my only complaint.

The villa itself is beautiful. Very spacious and at home feeling.

Nothing

Отличная вилла за свои деньги. Для проживания все имеется. Тарелки , кружки , духовка и тд. Есть кулер с водой , что является огромным плюсом. Хозяйка виллы всегда была на связи и помогала с любыми вопросами. Вилла находится очень центрально , что позволяет посетить все достопримечательности. На машине до каждого пляжа +/- 15-20 мин. Хороший , глубокий бассейн. Вода теплая. В гостиной висит большой телевизор и по вечерам было классно смотреть фильмы всей семьей.

Если арендуете машину , то дорога к вилле не самая удобная... Очень узкая и было сложно вечерами доехать из - за трафика на дорогах. В третьей спальне окна выходят на стену. Очень темная даже в дневное время суток . Свет туда не попадает. Но нам было все равно , мы жили в главных спальнях с шикарным видом на бассейн.

It is a beautiful villa for family. Accomodating host.

Some of the doors need to be fixed, especially the locks as this can alter safety. Also, there’s a certain smell in the other room but manageable with daily cleaning.
