"Beautiful location, lovely sunny aspect, birdsong"

7.0

Beautiful location, lovely sunny aspect, birdsong. I was there in glorious hot weather and throwing both doors open to the patio was wonderful, as was golluming about in the river. The lodge had a nice vibe, and chatting to the goat gang in the mornings was a brilliant bonus :-) I would definitely recommend a stay.

These negatives would not stop me returning! I offer them up as constructive critique/ for info: the sunny aspect and glass front makes the inside very warm, and its hard to get a through draft (note that an electric fan was provided though). The kitchen is adequately equipped but could be improved: there was a pod coffee machine but no other way to make coffee. Crockery is missing something like a pasta/ ramen bowls for eating big salads/ pasta/ noodles, and there were no beer glasses (though there were champagne flutes!). Oh, and there was no big wooden spoon or spatula (my weapons of choice for most kitchen things). The outside area is private (assuming the neighbouring guests dont go for a walk on the lawn), but sound does travel between the lodges outside, so if you are after quiet and your neighbours are going for hot tub disco vibe youll know about it.
