In a lovely little town the perfect one night stay area for the route we planned. the staff were very friendly and engaging

The bed was a bit small and not that comfortable. Pillows were pretty flat. Shower needed a bit better cleaning

Location , old fashioned nautical vibe .

The bar was pretty empty for a Saturday night (weather was bad) but no music, live or on speaker . No food available ( a toasted sandwich would have hit the spot) . The breakfast was ok and the dining room was totally silent , again some easy listening music would have created a more relaxed setting . We like an old school b&b, never after anything fancy (this was our second visit here) but thought some basic stuff missing as mentioned above might have added something to the holiday experience . I like so called ‘dated ‘ places for their nostalgic value alone, but this felt a little tired . I hate giving average reviews as hospitality is a hard business to be in, and I’m sure there’s a reason for the music etc, but some things could have be easily improved to create an overall better atmosphere .
