Clachan Garden B&B

Clacham Garden B&B sits in an elevated position over looking the junction of River Broom and Loch Broom. The vistas from the house are rural and very lovely. On arrival the hosts Steven and Margaret are likely to be found in their marvellous kitchen conjuring up delicious food for their guests. Diner and breakfast are served on the glass enclosed garden terrace with views of the loch through the flower filled summer garden. If you are lucky enough to stay when Steven and Margaret are cooking diner for their guests, you may be invited to a beautiful home cooked meal. Linger at the diner table chatting with fellow travellers until it is time to retire. The breakfast was so good we were reluctant to leave. All this provided with friendly humour and warmth. The upstairs guest rooms all bare the name of a character from the game of Cluedo. The décor of each room interprets the essence of each character. Our Miss Peacock was mysterious and colourful. The bedroom and bathroom were a pleasure to use. If your travels provide a chance to stay at Clachan Garden B&B, grab it.

Emplacement idéal au fond du loch Broom, à 15-20 min d'Ullapool, très calme, et une vue magnifique sur le loch, les montagnes environnantes, et le jardin fleuri à foison, particulièrement depuis la véranda du petit-déjeuner. La maison est magnifiquement décorée, avec des matériaux de qualité. Des centaines de livres sont à disposition, dont nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter compte tenu de notre court séjour. Nous avons apprécié la touche d'humour concernant les chambres nommées selon les personnages du Cluedo et décorées aux couleurs de ceux-ci (nous avions Mlle Rose et Mme Pervenche). Le petit déjeuné préparé avec des produits du jardin ou soigneusement sélectionnés est exceptionnel, et l'accueil particulièrement sympathique et arrangeant.

Our room was comfortable - loved the Cluedo references. The breakfast was outstanding. Margaret and Stephen were lovely hosts.

It turned out to be a little hard to find.

It is a very special place, in a beautiful and peaceful location in the middle of nature, and with very interesting areas inside, full of books and with a very nice breakfast room. The rooms are perfect and well equipped. The hosts are just wonderful, and the breakfast is very good. If you have the chance, try the dinner with them as well!

Nothing, we wished we could have stayed longer

It is an amazing house with "character". Cozy, clean, beautiful garden and books!!! A lot of books! Our hosts took good care of us and we had the best breakfast in Scotland. Thank you both!
