C7 Apartamento de un dormitorio en Pio XII, Madrid

Very clean. Bed very comfortable. Good to have a kettle and a coffee maker (with pods) in the room. OK for a one-night stay but pretty small if you want to stay any longer. Reasonably close to Madrid-Chamartín station (which is why we chose it). We had difficulties getting in to the apartment but communication via the booking.com messaging service with the property manager was prompt and helpful.

It is not very easily walkable from/to Madrid-Chamartín station.- this may be due to building works currently taking place at the station and some roads being closed. We ended up taking a taxi. It is very hard to get the keys to work when opening the main door and the door to the apartment. You have to pull and jiggle the doors around until the keys open them. This was very stressful in the dark after a long train journey, although the manager did offer prompt advice via the booking dot com messaging service. There are a number of apartments in the property, the stairwell is very echo-ey and the walls are thin. It's extremely noisy when the neighbours come and go late at night. The soap dispenser above the bathroom sink did not work and there was no hot water from the tap over the sink (although plenty hot water in the shower).

Very clean, easy way to get the keys, easy to get the public transports.
