"We enjoyed our stay."

The Lighthouse was spruce and neat and well-equipped, part of an attractive new development called Boathouse Bay. The host, Robyn, was very pleasant to deal with. Beds were super comfy, and hot water was plentiful. Lots of beautiful walks and drives nearby.

Weather in May/June was quite cold and windy, and a little more heating in the living area would have been great (but then again we are tropical birds, not used to the cold).

"Beautiful getaway in peaceful location."

What a gorgeous property, so beautifully decorated. It had everything we could possibly need and lots of information about the surrounding area. The best part was the bed - so incredibly comfortable, with lovely linens.

The tv was pretty small for how far it was from the couch, but that was nice in the sense it didn’t take over the room. Clean dishes were in the dishwasher but we didn’t realize until our last day. We made do but could have used the mugs!

It was an amazing build and a delight to visit. We did not realise it was three storey when we booked on line and was questionable for an 88, 86 and 81 year old. It was a challenge!

"Exceptional clean modern house."

Lovely clean modern house in a quiet location very close to the beach. Very homely with every single thing you could want. Dish washer, washer, even an outdoor bath. Lovely people . Very friendly local people too. Was just what we needed after an hectic drive around NZ. Loved the windows! Opened fully so that you could sleep with the fresh air and the sounds of the birds. An absolute delight! Backs on to a natural forest . There are loads of birds in the bay . Looks just like the picture and is an almost new house.

I am sorry to say this because we loved the place. A minor thing but I think that the bedding in the master bedroom needs up grading. And a thicker topper would definitely lift the sleeping experience. I like at least one other person found the bed a bit hard.

This a new, modern and very well equipped 2 bedroom house. Great location -1 minute walk to beach. Exactly as advertised.
