The facilities were not as advertised on the booking. The house was not clean and had a bad odour. There was no proper lock on the shared bathroom or on the bedroom we were staying in. It was a chain lock on both doors meaning the door could still be opened from the outside before the chain caught. This also means that we couldn't lock the bedroom door on leaving for going out for the evening. So we felt like we had to take a lot of our stuff with us. I wouldn't recommend for solo female travellers.

I did not like the fact that we waited almost 20 minutes for a response to be allowed into the property, and we were left to stand on the street in an area we were unfamiliar with. Every time I messaged or called the host, I was told “just 2 minutes” or “hold on” which seemed rather unprofessional. I also did not like that there was no lock on the bedroom door from the outside so if we were to leave the property, our belongings were just left and any other guests could come into our room as they pleased. The show around of the property was also poor, just walked us to the room and left us, no showing of the kitchen or anything so we would have to wander around to find the facilities. There was also other peoples personal belongings and used slippers in our room which made us feel rather uncomfortable. We felt very uncomfortable and on edge when we arrived therefore we ended up leaving this property and booking another more secure property.

Bathroom showing signs of wear and tear, stairs/landing was quite noisy, was woken up at 04:30 by someone entering/exiting the property.
