Amazing house. Incredibly clean throughout. Lovely welcome hamper. The kitchen and the living room are stunning and made to be very comfortsble. Excellent host communication.

We all thought the matresses were too hard. In the en suite a tray/shelf would be useful in the shower, 80 year old struggled due to lack of one.

Fossdale House was easy to find. The owner had provided very precise directions and access was very straightforward. The house was welcoming, comfortable, well equipped (as if you were at home) and very clean. We were a party of 8 adults and it felt very spacious with plenty of facilities. The beds were comfortable with crisp white bedlinen, the bathrooms clean and spacious. It is in a quiet location with easy access to the fells for beautiful walks. The renowned Green Dragon pub is a short 15 minute walk across fields and the elegant Simonstone Hall is 2 minutes down the road. We'd highly recommend a stay at Fossdale House.

Awesome location and really relaxing time !

House was lovely, plenty of space and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking etc. Great location for walks with the kids and visiting other villages and tourist spots. Would definitely return.

Very steep steps in the garden to get to the grass area with picnic tables on and there is no gate at the top or bottom so not good for young kids but not a huge problem just something to be aware of.

Well thought out accommodation, nicely and practically presented in a lovely part of the country
