The Ferry Boat Inn

The toilet actually flushed! We were surprised it worked.

Thé furniture was tatty and dated. The hot water tap in the sink didn’t work at all, there was dirt and hair on the floor around the edge of the bathroom, black mould in the shower tray and the bedroom window was so warped it wouldn’t shut. See attached pictures

The singer below our room on Thursday night room 1 and we had trouble with the hot water switch not working

Good location and room ok although compact.

Shower tray didn’t drain; no towel rail so had to use damp towels in the morning. Room ok although window frames mouldy but stairs and corridor leading to room were very tired and grubby looking. Having stayed at Marie House hotel for the previous 2 nights for less with good quality breakfast included we were disappointed in our choice.

Location was excellent for the ferry. Shower was very good.

Room was up 3 flights of steep stairs. Room window would not close, handle was falling off, toilet seat was on its last legs. Curtain for the window didn't close out the light. Food downstairs was tasty but expensive.

Food and staff were lovely

Room could do with a wee bit of TLC
