"Underrated gem"

The attention to detail.. it's the little unshown bits that proves the owners/hosts ACTUALLY care about things👌 You can tell they actually care about the quality of YOUR stay.. This place is a REAL hidden gem, peace and quiet and the general feel of the place sets this 'Shepards Hut' far above the others.. Its built better than most homes, has all the modern conveniences and even during a storm was rock solid and still warm & cozy.. The owners two dogs were friendly, so we're the chickens and ducks.. The wifi is superfast, and had a good strong signal.. Basically, in short.. this place is way better than it's advertised!!

A comfortable and restful stay in peaceful surroundings. Our dog had a great time too! Brilliant location for travelling into Perth and surrounding areas.

"Great Little Getaway"

Great hosts that were welcoming and friendly. The hut was cosy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking along to the nearby village of Stanley.

"dog friendly stay"

We loved the Shepherds Hut. It had everything we needed as well as the nice touches of the Scottish snacks in the fridge and the doggy basket - both were appreciated 🤩 we had a brilliant dog friendly weekend away! 🐾

"A cosy grown-ups cubby house!"

We liked the coziness of the shepherds hut. Thoughtfully decorated inside with special editions outside- outdoor bath and fire-pit were lovely.

Some occasional road noise but not too bothersome.

"Enjoyed our five night stay with our dog."

Well equipped. Everything we needed really. Felt quite new and clean. We weren't expecting a shower so that was a bonus. My husband was looking forward to experiencing the outdoor bath but sadly the weather changed so he didn't manage it. Although the hut was bijou, the owners had really considered everything. Very cleverly designed.

Nothing to dislike really except perhaps the mattress - fine for young bones but a little uncomfortable for old ones. :-) That was the only thing and didn't spoil our stay.

Myself and my husband and our 2 fur babies had an amazing 2 night stay everything at hand even dogs were equipped with everything they needed nice bbq one night then pizza other even had outside spa bath on offer with privacy screen very spacious inside netflix on tv to watch our series very happy all round 😀
