"Good"

Clean and cute welcome.

Very loud because thin walls etc. but fixable with earplugs and the later it gets the quieter it gets obviously. Around 11pm on a Friday it’s done :)

"Such a disappointment. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone."

2.0

The apartment gave the impression of space. There was a new kettle, lovely towels and bedspread, some detergent for dish washing. The manager was responsive to my whatsapps although was limited in being able to organise repairs or changing our apartment for one which resembled what we'd payed for. We were offered the use of the apartment without charge as some compensation for all the negative aspects. La Gomera was very busy on this date and we would have struggled to find anywhere that late in the evening. The free accommodation was not worth it!

Where to start! The oven didn't work, no remote for the tv in the lounge area, a leaking water heater in a cupboard , not enough hot water for one shower, electrical power outage just in our room, not sure why, the caretakers came and sorted it out. We rented out the apartment because of it's self catering ability yet there were 2 spoons, 3 serrated knives, 3 forks and a teaspoon (the manager later brought round a corkscrew as requested) absolutely no other utensils. We had pans but even if the oven had worked there was nothing to use within it to cook anything - same goes for the microwave. There was no soap/shampoo in the bathroom which needs renovation. The sitting bath was rusty, cracked and had no plug. Having a wash was not a pleasant experience. The noise disturbance from above and down the shared passageway alongside the apartment was significant. Both mornings we were disturbed by people getting up and moving around from 4.30 h onwards.

"This was a rather expensive night’s accommodation which was badly overpriced."

4.0

It was very near the port and the sea front, and right by the town square which has lots of goof restaurants and atmosphere. There was plenty of space and it was comfortable and clean. When we had problems, and there were some, we resorted to making a phone call and someone quickly responded and helped.

It was extremely difficult to find. It was up a narrow side alley. The front door was half way up some steps and was unmarked. It needed a much more detailed explanation mentioning that the alley was between a certain restaurant and and a pizzeria. It would help if there was some kind of sign on the door. The owners didn’t make contact beforehand in spite of the claim that they would. We had to contact them. There was no information about the WiFi. We had to phone for the password. There was hardly any crockery. I had to eat my breakfast cereal out of a small saucepan! Perhaps the owners have only just begun to offer the apartment for hire but it needs some rethinking.
