Lovely 3 Bedroom Apartment with Ocean View

The location is absolutely perfect if you want a relaxing beach stay. We were hoping to enjoy the nightlife in Zipolite which was impossible (we found out the hard way since the taxis stop at 11pm and get more and more expensive the later you leave). The hosts also sent us very clear indications before we checked in so it was very easy to find and were responsive throughout our stay.

I really really wanted to like this place, I was so excited for it but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. We were a group of 4 friends with 2 people sharing the bigger bed in the loft upstairs but after the first night of hell they had to book another accommodation for the rest of our stay. The openness of that space combined with the straw roof made this place a haven for mosquitos and the holes in the bed net made my friends perfect prey. The two bedrooms downstairs were not so bad for mosquitos but my net kept falling the first night and I had to finally fix it with a hanger and clothes to patch the holes. They came the next day to fix a few of the holes but honestly these nets need to be entirely replaced. Also if you are a sensitive sleeper, the roosters start singing at 4 am. The bathroom needed a good scrub, and the fans were not only partially broken but they were disgusting, covered in a thick layer of grease and dust. We did not use the kitchen except the coffee maker because there was nowhere to keep food (other than the fridge) that was immune to a ant infestation. There should be a sealed container were we can store food that does not go in the refrigerator. Oh and we received a noise complaint from the neighbors even though we left the house before 8pm, so the neighbors seemed pretty rigid.
