Santo Stefano Square

Excellent location, close to the centre and in a very nice area of Bologna. The apartment was clean, airy and spacious.

The bed in the master bedroom was disappointing. (Hopefully, Stefano has taken onboard the feedback we gave him and remedied it.) The mattress was thin and didn't provide adequate support, and on top of that the bed struts creaked every time you moved. The first night we were there, we were constantly being woken up by the creaking bed. As a result, for the rest of our stay, we slept in the sofa-bed in the much smaller spare room, which was not what we were expecting to do. The mattress there was also thin, but at least the bed didn't creak !! There was a good amount of wardrobe space, but more hangers would have been helpful. There were only a small number of glasses, mugs and plates in the kitchen, which meant we had to keep washing up things, rather than load up the dishwasher.

Three nights in a very hot week in July, the train to Bologna arriving much later than expected - it could have all been a recipe for disaster but turned out perfect thanks to Stefano and his brilliant place! The apartment is super quiet, even though it's right in the middle of everything. The air condition keeps the bedrooms a perfect temperature. Most importantly though, Stefano is a fantastic host, happy to accommodate (whether it's managing a late check-in without any fuss or providing a safe space for luggage after check-out), super friendly and always easy to reach. As some others have noted there aren't tons of kitchen utensils and dishes if you wanted to cook rather than make the most of Bologna's many, many restaurants and cafes - but the kitchen is super functional, as is the bathroom.For us, it was perfect. Highly recommend.

Kind and helpful host, clean and beautiful apartment, quite neighbourhood, central location everything within walking distance. Bakeries, cafes, markets, shops. We loved our stay in Bologna, an Italian jewel!

The property was easily accessible, clean, well-equipped, and quiet. The centre was in walking distance while a bus stop close by takes you directly to the train station. We would book again in a heartbeat.
