The property was comfortable and cosy

Location was perfect for heading into village of Doolin for the evening. Spacious parking and felt very safe there. The house itself was lovely and warm and was perfectly set up for self-catering, the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Bed was really comfy and the shower was strong and hot (makes a huge difference after a long day!) Hosts (Pascal & Sinead) provided all the info we needed for our stay beforehand and also had a folder of helpful info for exploring Doolin set up in the kitchen when we arrived. Really enjoyed our stay, and would rate it really highly!

Nothing, was perfectly happy with the stay

The property was very clean and seemed freshly renovated. It was just a 5 minute walk from Gus O'Connor's and The Ivy Cottage. It was very quiet and easy parking right outside the door.

As mentioned in other reviews, the water pressure in the shower is pretty light but worked well enough and would not deter me from staying here again.

No hot water

Jake's place was good home base for exploring Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. We like to hike/walk so the location made it very easy for us to walk to the trailhead, the ferries, and the pubs. It was nice to park the car for a couple of days. The apartment had a peaceful setting, very quiet, with a nice view over the pastures. The hosts were very responsive to questions that we sent in regarding the apartment, hikes, etc (although it was a bit surprising they didn't know that part of the trail was closed). We chose not to cook in but if we wanted to, there was ample equipment to do so.

As we travel we are learning that we really appreciate having personal interactions with our hosts so having a remote check in didn't provide that. But we knew that going in so not really a criticism.. just a heads-up. I would also recommend them to use less air fresheners as the scent was oppressive. I finally found it under the sink and put it outside for the duration of our stay. For others staying, be aware the water tastes bad so bring bottled water with you.

Comfortable place with everything you need for a little self catering stay. Walking distance to everything.
