Cozy 2BR Apartment

The keys were in a lockbox, and the owner was very quick to respond to texts/emails. The location was very good, and the apartment itself was very comfortable. The mattresses were soft/comfortable--even the pull-out couch had a great mattress. We all got great sleep. (For day trip driving, which we did, the location is great for the Reykjavik museums and sights, the Golden Circle, Snæfellsness peninsula, the southern coast, and the Blue Lagoon. We managed to pack a lot into our five full days in Iceland, in great part due to these convenient, comfortable accommodations!

The promised toiletries were not there, but we never brought this up with the owner (to give him a chance to supply them) and simply went to the store and bought shampoo, conditioner, and soap for the bathroom ourselves. (The kitchen was well stocked with necessary dish soap and dishwasher soap.) A couple of the pots and pans did not work with the rather odd stovetop (could not be detected by it), so that made cooking larger meals of more than one dish somewhat challenging--but we managed. The kitchen could use a can opener, some more cooking utensils (a spatula & scraper) and more towels / cloths for drying hands / clean-up. Some paper towels and/or napkins would also be helpful. (Note: Some accessible basic cleaner for kitchen countertops/sink and/or bathroom area would also be helpful. I had wanted to clean the toilet bowl midway through our stay, but there were no cleaning supplies for it.)

Some cookware doesn't work with induction cooktop.

Perfect for a group with nice facilities. Appreciated them dropping off another sheet!

Bathroom door didn’t properly lock and second bedroom mattress quite hard
